KUWAIT: On the sixth day of registration, 16 more people, including 15 males and one female, on Saturday submitted candidacy applications to the election watchdog to run for the forthcoming National Assembly elections slated for September 29th. The new candidates have thus taken the total number to 289 so far, involving 271 males and 18 females. The new candidates include two in the second constituency, four in the third, four in the fourth and six in the fifth. On August 29, the election watchdog opened the door for registration for the coming electoral race, proceeding until September 7.
