KUWAIT: Kuwait Shooting Sport Federation in cooperation with International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is holding a course for shotgun referees. International lecturer Mohammad Medhat Wahdan, Chairman of the technical committee for shotguns at ISSF lectured during the event. There are 16 Kuwaiti referees, in addition to referees from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and UAE. At the end of the five-day program, those who pass successfully will be granted international licenses.

In his opening speech, secretary general of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Obaid Munahi Al-Osaimi welcomed participants and thanked ISSF, Public Authority for Sport (PAS) and Sheikh Abdallah Al-Salem leadership center and lecturer Mohammad Wahdan. He said KSSF is always keen on the development of the technical cadre including referees who shoulder the responsibility of running competitions according to international rules.

Al-Osaimi said the course is part of KSSF preparations for HH The Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah International Shooting Grand Prix to be held on February 20-March 2, 2023 - with more than 40 countries participating. Al-Osaimi urged all participating referees to get the maximum benefit and qualify for the international license.

Mohammad Wahdan on his part, thanked President of Arab and Kuwait Shooting Federations Eng Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi, secretary general Obaid Al-Osaimi and KSSF for their support. He said courses, like the current ones, adds to referees experience.
