As the holy month of Ramadan begins, I would like to express (on behalf of the French Embassy) my sincere wishes of happiness, health and fraternity to the Kuwaiti people and Muslims around the world. Ramadan is a month of meditation, tolerance, peace and spirituality. I also know that Ramadan is an opportunity to show solidarity and compassion to the people who are suffering.
On this occasion, my heart goes out to the victims of the continuing conflicts, to the refugees and displaced populations. In Ramadan, family and friends gather and share unforgettable moments: Diwaniyas, Girgian and Ghabqas. This is my third Ramadan as a French Ambassador to Kuwait and I am particularly moved to share these moments of great conviviality and generosity. To you and your families, in Kuwait, in France, and in the world, I wish you a beautiful Ramadan.
