DAKAR: Senegal President Macky Sall has bestowed Kuwait's Ambassador in Dakar Saleh Al-Saqabi with the Order of the Lion Grand Cross Badge in appreciation of his contributions in strengthening both countries' relations. A farewell reception was held at the Palace of the Republic in the capital Dakar for ending Al-Saqabi's diplomatic tenure, Kuwait Embassy in Senegal said in a statement yesterday.

During the reception, Ambassador Al-Saqabi conveyed greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and expressed gratitude and appreciation for the Senegalese President for the support he had received that contributed in boosting the level of relations between the two friendly countries. President Sall decorated Al-Saqabi with the Order of the Lion Grand Cross Badge in appreciation of further promotion of ties and cooperation between Senegal and Kuwait, said the statement. - KUNA
