NEW DELHI: Kuwaiti Ambassador to India Mishal Mustafa Al-Shamali expressed his strong desire to cement the Kuwait-India relationship as he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Cabinet.
In a statement to KUNA after attending the constitutional oath-taking ceremony of Modi and his Cabinet ministers, Ambassador Al-Shamali said that he is hoping to cement the India-Kuwait relationship in all areas of mutual interest during the third term of the Modi government.
Al-Shamali, who took charge recently, pledged to do everything in his power to consolidate the long-standing political, social, and economic relations that exist between the two friendly countries. He also stressed the importance of joint work for the well-being of the people in India and Kuwait. Earlier in the day, Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister for a third term after the National Democratic Alliance, under his leadership, won the general elections.
Modi and other members of the Cabinet took the constitutional oath before President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi in celebrations attended by more than 8,000 leaders, including heads of state and governments from neighboring countries. — KUNA
