Rome: Kuwait's Non-Resident Ambassador to San Marino Nasser Sanhat Al-Qahtani held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Economic Cooperation and Telecommunications Luca Beccari on the bilateral ties.
During the meeting, Beccari affirmed his government's keenness on promoting cooperation with the State of Kuwait in the economic, cultural, diplomatic areas, a statement from Kuwait Embassy in Rome said on Saturday.
The minister and the Kuwaiti diplomat explored ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation, increase the trade exchanges, and coordinate the diplomatic stances of both countries at international forums, according to the statement.
Beccari extolled progress in the bilateral ties that resulted in signing, in initials, a deal on investment and double taxation protection, stressing keenness of his government on booting diplomatic and political cooperation with Kuwait.
He affirmed that strong relations between San Marino and Kuwait constitutes a bridge for communication and dialogue among Eruope, the Arab world and the Gulf region in a way that contributes to enhancing a multi-lateral system and its organizations on common issues and challenges, according to the statement.
Beccari conveyed greetings of the Captains Regent of San Marino Maria Luisa Berti and Manuel Ciavattato to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The minister also expressed his greetings to Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, wishing Ambassador Al-Qahtani every success in his post.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Al-Qahtani voiced his pride for progress in the friendly relations between Kuwait and San Marino that are a firm pillar to enhance cooperation in all domains to serve the interests of the two countries and their peoples.
Al-Qahtani conveyed greetings of Sheikh Salam Abdullah Al-Sabah to Beccari, affirming eagerness of Kuwait to deepen and promote bilateral ties with San Marino.
