DOHA: Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received Kuwaiti premier's envoy, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah on the occasion of opening of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Corridor project in Doha yesterday. Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali conveyed to Qatar's Amir greetings from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali said that the Kuwaiti leadership expressed joy over the strong sentiments and affections towards the people of Kuwait, which contributed to the opening of the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Corridor. Kuwaiti Ambassador to Qatar Hafeeth Al-Ajmi attended the reception.

Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al-Thani later received Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali. During his meeting with Sheikh Khaled, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali affirmed that it was important to continue dialogue with brethren in the GCC to develop relations and seek mutual benefit and interests. Kuwait's Ambassador to Qatar attended the meeting. - KUNA
