KUWAIT: The Public Prosecutor Dherar Al-Asousi issued a media blackout on news related to Al Abdaly terror cell. The Ministry of Information informed newspapers not to report any information about case 55/2015 on 'Kuwaitis in possession of large caches of arms, ammunition and explosions'. "Speaking about this case harms the country's interest and its unity, and affects negatively - the current investigations," said a statement issued by the Public Prosecutor's office yesterday. The Public Prosecution will inform media outlets about the final results of investigations regarding this case, reported Kuna.
Also yesterday, His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah chaired an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet. He lauded security services for their role in uncovered the cell. Sheikh Nawaf underlined the need to complete the required measures and precautions - to maintain the country's security, urging security personnel to keep a watchful eye on the security and safety of the country and its citizens. The Cabinet listened to a detailed presentation by Sheikh Mohmmad Al-Khaled on efforts exerted by security men in uncovering the terror cell which is currently being investigated by the Public Prosecution.
The Cabinet expressed its condemnation of this terror plot which serves the objectives of the foes of the country. The Cabinet vowed to take required measures and precautions in the face of such incidents, underlining the need of boosting national unity so as to maintain the country's stability and security. The Cabinet affirmed that security men will deal harshly with anybody who seeks to tamper with the country's security and stability, urging all citizens to cooperate in order to prevent perpetrators from achieving their plots inside the country.- Agencies
