KUWAIT: Director General of Private Education Department at the Education Ministry Abdallah Al-Busairi said a circular was sent to all private schools asking them to cancel fees increase and refund parents, adding that schools who do not comply will have their files closed.

Al-Basri said there is a ministerial decision that sets the amount of increase and in case it is violated, the private education department should be contacted to cancel them, and if they do not comply their transactions will not be accepted in all state ministries.

He said any increase that was imposed will be considered cancelled until the education ministry issues a decision for that. He said the ministry is working on establishing standards for the increase. —Al-Jarida
