KUWAIT: Assistant Health Ministry Undersecretary for Dental Affairs Dr Mishal Al-Kandary said he is proud of Kuwait's doctors' contribution to research and the positive results they achieved using cutting-edge treatment methods.
Kandary made the remarks at the opening of the third Kuwait International Physiotherapy Conference, being held for three days under the patronage of health minister Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi. The conference includes seven workshops and is attended by international and local experts who will discuss 39 scientific papers and showcase 32 posters.
Kandary highlighted Kuwaiti doctors' efforts in the field of physiotherapy and the intensive research they carried out to find the most effective solutions to issues in the field. The research papers, he said, were published in the most prominent scientific journals.
He expressed confidence in the vision of physiotherapists at the conference and their ability to face all challenges in their field, including safeguarding the rights of patients and utilizing modern technology to develop therapy services.

Director of physiotherapy services at the ministry Abdallah Zaman said the department is keen on having its employees stay updated on the international developments in the field, adding that raising the level of service is a main goal of the department.
The department, he added, encourages its employees to enrich their knowledge and exchange experiences. He said the ministry ensures that all requirements of physiotherapy departments across the country, be it manpower or devices, are met. - KUNA
