KUWAIT: The preparatory meeting for the launch of the fourth season of the joint training centers between the Public Authority for Sports (PAS), Education Ministry and clubs was held under the patronage of Acting Director of PAS Dr Humoud Fulaiteh who was represented by Director of Abdallah Al-Salem Center at the Leaders Training Center Mahmoud Abul.
Abul expressed hopes this meeting will be the true start of the future project and support of the Kuwait sports through the merger of PAS, Education Ministry and clubs and linking communications to ensure the success of this vital project and spread of sports and public health culture while gaining technical skills and achieving the sought after goals. He said international associations put forth several training programs to train the young and hoped that such programs be looked up and used in developing skills. Waleed Ayesh, the physical education general supervisor at the Education Ministry, said he was happy with the meeting with participants in this national project which serves Kuwait sports, and that there is a triangle between PAS, education and clubs to maintain the vital project towards the youth and sports movement, and the goal is not to bring students together only, rather accuracy in selection, discovering talent and polish their skills. He asked all centers to communicate to the Centers General Administration and inform them with any obstructions in the way of the ideal performance of the project.
Physical Education Supervisor Nahid Al- Fahad spoke about the role of PAS in supporting women sport and designating centers for female students for the first time. She said the number of centers was increased from 3 to 6. She said that as an emphasis on the vision of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to care for youth, PAS is the first supporter of women sports in cooperation with the Education Ministry in order to ensure the success of this project which is considered part of the development plan.
