KUWAIT: Ambassador of Palestine to Kuwait Rami Tahboub expressed appreciation to Kuwait for a recent government decision to suspend entry of cargo ships carrying goods to and from the Zionist entity.
"On behalf of President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas as well as the government and people of Palestine, I would like to express gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah for the Kuwaiti government's decision taken by Minister of Public Works, Minister of Commerce and Information Technology Dr Rana Al-Fares to suspend entry of cargo ships carrying goods to and from occupied Palestine," he said in a statement.
This decision is yet another proof that the Palestinian cause remains a top priority for Kuwait, Tahboub said, noting that it further motivates the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Zionist entity. "The decision reasserts Kuwait's supportive position towards the Palestinian cause, and dealing with it as a non-negotiable issue of principle," he said.
