KUWAIT: Baseball team celebrated the start of the new season 2019-2020. The celebration was attended by Public Authority for Sport Deputy Director General for Competitive Sport Dr Saqer Al-Ghanim, President of Kuwait Olympic Committee Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad, Head of Kuwait Hunting and Equestrian Club Sheikh Dhari Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in addition to ambassadors from Canada, France, China, South Korea, India, Malta, Cuba.
The celebration included a brief about the game of baseball, then the teams presented themselves.

Chairman of the Board of Baseball Club Saud Abdelaziz Al-Ayoub thanked HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Amiri Diwan for their continued support to Kuwait sport and athletes, in general and the baseball and softball games in particular.

He said he is pleased with the way the celebration came out and impressed those present.
He also thanked Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser and PAS, who ensure the continuation of this sport and enhance it in Kuwait, and his role in having the club be the first in the GCC countries.
He gave special thanks to Sheikh Dhari Al-Fahad for his support of the game without which the game would have vanished from Kuwait and have a recognized club.

He said athletes went through several sports experience locally, regionally and internationally and now we get into a new challenge which is baseball and softball, which practiced by all of both genders, adding that the number of those who are practicing it reached 420 of both genders and they are from 26 countries of various age groups, adding that he is proud of the two teams of the disabled.

He said the league season started in November and continues until March 2020 and matches are played on Thursdays and Fridays each week.
