Negative impact of street vendors

KUWAIT: The phenomenon of street vendors on main roads and underpasses and in squares and marketplaces causes negative hygienic, economic and social effects. Street hawkers usually offer foodstuff that does not fulfill relevant health requirements and poses health hazards. However, municipal inspectors are doing their best to curtail this uncivilized phenomenon in an effort to enforce the law and protect consumers. - KUNA
