KUWAIT: Watani Investment Company (NBK Capital) held its annual investment forum “The Insight”. The event outlined the views of various investment professionals at NBK and NBK Capital relating to the current investment environment in the MENA region.
“The Insight” is an initiative by NBK Capital to share with its clients and investors updates on business operations, offer expert opinion on major trends and observations in the world of finance, as well as provide investment insights that could help stakeholders make informed investment decisions.
Chief Executive Officer of NBK Capital Faisal Al-Hamad commented, “We are delighted to host our annual event, “The Insight”. Key highlights of the event included a presentation on the challenges and opportunities of local, regional and international markets. Subsequent interactive presentations by a number of financial professionals at NBK Capital also exhibited the Firm’s business insights.
The Investment Advisory Group highlighted the value of the Investment Management Process which is a collection of tools used to reach financial objectives. Asset Allocation being at its core and which should govern long term behavior when investing.
The MENA Equities-Asset Management Division provided international and regional historical evidence that “equities are rewarding over the long-term despite their significant volatility” and discussed how investors can navigate the current challenging economic and investment environment in the GCC region”.
The forum concluded with a roundtable discussion hosted by senior members of the Investment Banking and MENA Equities Divisions at NBK Capital in addition to NBK Capital partners’ seniors on the topic of “Opportunities and Challenges in a Dynamic Investment Environment”.
