KUWAIT: Kuwait's Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) referred a former supervisor at the ministry of education to the public prosecution on charges of squandering public funds. In a press statement yesterday, Nazaha said the referral of the supervisor to the public prosecution comes as a continuation of efforts to combat corruption and its dangers and effects and prosecute its perpetrators.
These efforts include receiving and verifying serious reports of corruption, the statement added. Nazaha affirmed its intention to continue efforts and procedures regarding examining and collecting inferences and investigations into all serious communications received by it.
Nazaha expressed appreciation of whistleblowers in exercising their role with its assistance to gain access to the necessary information on incidents of corruption. It stressed commitment to providing them with the utmost levels of protection and confidentiality imposed by the law and executive regulations. - KUNA
