KUWAIT: Kuwait National Library's advisory council held its first meeting recently with the presence of Kamel Suleiman Al-Abdul Jaleel, Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCAAL).
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Jaleel congratulated the council members on the trust they earned from Information Minister Mohammad Al-Jabri, and stressed the importance of the council's role. Meanwhile, the council's chairman Professor Sultan Mohayya Al-Daihani thanked minster Jabri and secretary general Abdul Jaleel for their trust and stressed that all council members were highly qualified in various sciences needed such as information technology, culture, media, libraries and archiving.
The council members include Bahaa Abdul Qader Ibrahim, former historical documents and libraries director in the Amiri Diwan, Suad Abdullah Al-Ateeqi, Al-Babtain Library's General Manager, Hamad Abdul Mohsen Al-Hamad, authors' association member, Dr Abdullah Mohammad Al-Hajri, History Professor at Kuwait University, Basma Al-Safar, assistant dean for libraries at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Budoor Khaled Al-Mutairi, Editor-in-Chief of the Berwaz news website, and Nassar Saleh Bulabqa, information services and digital library manager at Kuwait National Library.
