KUWAIT: Parliamentary sources said MP Riyadh Al-Adasani is preparing a new grilling of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah in the upcoming term. This grilling will be the second in the coming term after the grilling of Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, which he is also preparing, expected to be tabled before the start of the term so it can be discussed during the opening session at the end of October.

The sources said Adasaniwill submit his grilling motion of the premier after the legislativecommittee's report on the constitutionality of the grilling motion filed by MPAbdulkarim Al-Kandari, which he submitted in the previous term. The governmentasked it to be referred to the legislative committee to discuss itsconstitutionality.

Meanwhile sourcesrevealed that the enrolment of a batch of bedoons in the military was postponeduntil January, in anticipation of the National Assembly approving a civilrights law for illegal residents to be discussed in November. Sources said theaccepted batch includes more than 1,000 bedoons who are children of militarymen and those with 1965 census records. They have already undergone medicalexaminations and submitted their registration papers at their workplaces.

The sources saidall those who were accepted hold unexpired security IDs issued by the centraldepartment for illegal residents, which a must for admittance. They said bedoonchildren of Kuwaiti mothers are not among this batch, as they are acceptedautomatically in each military course without having to wait for a coursedesigned for bedoons.

In other news,the commerce and industry ministry closed five shops specialized in checkingand repairing vehicles in Hawally for violating laws. It said the violations bythe shops were sent to the commercial prosecution to take the necessary action.
