RABAT: The 69th session of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) began on Monday in Rabat, with the participation of representatives from member states, including Kuwait, whose delegation was led by Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah. Sheikh Humoud Al-Sabah stressed in a statement to KUNA, during his participation in the opening of the meeting, Kuwait’s keenness to support joint Arab action, especially in the field of civil aviation.
In a statement to KUNA during the opening session, Sheikh Humoud Al-Sabah emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to supporting joint Arab efforts, particularly in the field of civil aviation. Sheikh Humoud highlighted Kuwait’s pivotal role in advancing the civil aviation sector across Arab countries, aiming to develop and enhance this sector to achieve safe, efficient, and sustainable air transport that aligns with the sustainable development goals of Arab nations.
He stressed the importance of cooperation and integration among Arab countries in the civil aviation sector to boost this vital industry, which serves as a catalyst for development and economic growth. He also highlighted the crucial role played by the ACAO in this regard.
The Executive Council’s agenda includes several key topics, such as reviewing the recommendations from the 68th session of the Council, approving the recommendations of the ACAO’s technical committees, and setting the organization’s activity program for 2025 and 2026. The Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization is comprised of nine members elected by the General Assembly from the nominees of member states for a two-year term. — KUNA
