KUWAIT: ActingInterior Ministry Undersecretary Lt Gen Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabahyesterday toured Jaber Causeway along with other senior officials. SheikhFaisal checked the mechanism of fixed and mobile patrols and traffic cameras -576 cameras to monitor traffic flow, 11 speed cameras and 19 mobile cameras.

KU won't lowerGPA cutoff

Kuwait Universityrejected requests to lower the GPA required for admittance in its collegesduring the second term and the next few years before it moves to its new campusin Shadadiya, which will result in extra capacity and an increase in halls,which was the reason it gave for the inability to increase the number ofadmitted students to more than 7,000 students per year. Sources said theuniversity council will not accept demands by MPs to reduce the GPA foradmittance to allow more students to study at KU, because it is a matter ofeducational quality, apart from only accepting those who deserve admission.

Blasphemous video

The relations andsecurity information department at the interior ministry said authorities tookall legal measures over a video clip in which a woman insulted God. It said thewoman was identified and will be arrested for questioning.
