KUWAIT: In a preemptive measure prior to a sit-in MEW employees plan to hold on Sunday, Minister of Electricity and Water and Oil Khaled Al-Fadhel announced that in collaboration with the Civil Service Commission, it was agreed to change MEW's working hours to start at 7 am and end at 2 pm and allow female employees to leave 15 minutes earlier. Notably, Fadhel had stressed MEW would not go back on the new timings and that it will be fully committed to the CSC decision. This made MEW employees declare plans to hold the sit-in, which made the minister, who has not completed his first month in office, to retreat. - A Saleh
