KUWAIT: The Manpower Public Authority is considering a plan to allow the transfer of visas of expatriates on government contracts without the sponsor’s approval. The transfers would only be allowed in specific cases.
The authority explained the conditions needed for a laborer to transfer his or her visa from one government contract to another without the sponsor’s approval.
They include; having the laborer file a labor dispute complaint that the contract tenure is concluded; making sure the employer does not need the laborer and paying a transfer fee of KD 300.
