KUWAIT: Policemen were able to bring a mentally disturbed man under control after he was found harassing and attacking women in a Fahaheel mall. A security source said a call came from several shoppers saying that a scary looking man was harassing women there. A police patrol was dispatched to the scene and arrested the suspect only to find out he was mentally disturbed and was sent to the psychiatric hospital for evaluation and treatment. In another incident, patrons of a popular store were shocked when an elderly man removed his clothes while shoppers looked on. Several present covered the man, thought to be disturbed, with his clothes. Police arrested the man and sent to concerned authorities.
Drug arrested in Farwaniya
Farwaniya police arrested a man in Andalus area with illicit pills in addition to a hashish joint. The arrest took place when a patrol on a routine tour noticed a car in Andalus area, and when approached they found a man sleeping inside with a rolled joint next to him. When he woke up he asked the patrol men to switch off the flasher lights and not disturb him because he did not sleep for two days.
Thieves steal welding machine
Unknown persons on a 4WD vehicle without license plates stole a welding machine at gun point. The lawyer of a welding company filed a reported at the Jahra police station. He informed the police that a supervisor who was at the site attempted to prevent the theft but the culprits pulled a gun on him, took the machine and drove off.
Student harassed
A university student told Mubarak Al-Kabeer police that someone misused the telephone by sending a What'sapp message claiming to be a woman and wanted to meet him. Detectives are working on the case.
26 year old man arrested
Policemen found a 26 year-old Indian in Nugra area in an abnormal condition, laying on the ground. The man was making obnoxious statements, laughing and crying and acting in an unusual and inebriated way. When approached, he asked policemen for a hammer. The police told him it is at the police station and took him there.
