January 21: HisHighness the Amir received Governor General of Canada Julie Payette on occasionof her visit to Kuwait.

December 10: HisHighness the Amir, addressing the GCC Summit in Riyadh, underlined importanceof "positive and constructive" steps achieved as part of Kuwait'smediations to address the Gulf crisis, and said the region was exposed todangerous escalation threatening its security and stability, which thusrequired emphasis on dialogue. December 17: His Highness the Amir signed adecree on the new Cabinet which consists of 14 ministers and headed by HisHighness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah. - KUNA
