KUWAIT: The Crown Prince position saw an integral shift during 2020 with the ascension of His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to power after the passing away of His Highness the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The following are the major activities and events carried out by the Crown Prince:

Feb 10: His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, representing His Highness the Amir, patronized the 2019 awards for the Kuwait Foundation for Scientific Advancement (KFAS).

Oct 8: His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah took the oath before the National Assembly. In his statement after swearing-in, Sheikh Mishal pledged to be a solid supporter and sincere adviser to His Highness the Amir and a faithful citizen to attain Kuwait's prosperity, sponsor national interests and unity of the people.

Oct 13: His Highness the Crown Prince received the chairman and Secretary General of Kuwait Red Crescent Society, and commended KRCS's noble contributions to alleviate suffering of ill-fated people and spreading awareness about importance of volunteering.

Oct 19: His Highness the Crown Prince, while receiving board members of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, called for boosting integration between public and private sector to contribute to sustainable development.
Nov 3: His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad underlined importance of direct investment to transfer knowledge and technology, and achieve economic sustainability, create jobs and diversify income to honor New Kuwait 2035 Vision.

Nov 15: His Highness the Crown Prince received Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri and reiterated deep-rooted relations with Cairo.
Nov 18: His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad called for further promotion of role of Kuwait stock market to economic development. - KUNA
