KUWAIT: The Ministry of Electricity and Water announced conducting maintenance works on the water network on the crossing of Seventh Ring Road and Fahaheel Express Road. The works started yesterday at 8:00 pm and are scheduled to finish at 8:00 am today.

In this regard, the ministry announced that the maintenance works would cause weak water flow in the following areas: Fahaheel, South Sabahiya, Mangaf, Abu Halifa, Mahboula, Fneitees, Abu Al-Hasani, Masayil, Salwa, Mishref, Bayan, Bidaa, Rumaithiya, Salmiya, Messila, Fintas, and Sabah Al-Salem (blocks 1, 2, and 3). The ministry advised consumers to be aware of the situation, and to call the emergency number 152 in case that they face a complete cut of water supply.

According to Fatma Al-Gharabali from the public relations department at the Ministry of Electricity and Water, this maintenance is regular and it takes place in different areas. "The Ministry has chosen this timing, from 8 pm to 8 am, since it is outside peak hours of water usage, thus trying to make sure that consumers do not experience water shortages," she told the Kuwait Times.
