KUWAIT: The criminal court yesterday sentenced a Kuwaiti lawyer and four expats to life in prison over charges of kidnapping lawyer Saud Al-Helfi from Kuwait City and taking him to Kabd. The incident took place in February of this year when police stopped a vehicle four Arab men, only to discover a fifth man tied up inside. Investigation revealed that the four had kidnapped the man at the orders of another lawyer, and took him to a private property in Kabd where they tortured him in a bid to extort money from him.
