KUWAIT: ThePublic Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART) announced yesterday theopening of the land section of the Doha-link of the Sheikh Jaber Al-AhmadAl-Sabah Causeway. Acting Director of PART Suha Ashkanani said in a pressconference that the project comes in accordance with international standards,and aims to link Doha with Shuwaikh from the beginning of Al-Ghazali Bridge toease traffic congestion.
She added thatthe 4.7 kilometer-long land section serves an army camp and the Doha area.Meanwhile, project director Mohammad Abdeen said that a 12.4-kilometer bridgeacross the south of Kuwait would link Shuwaikh Port with the Doha motorway.
