KUWAIT: Kuwaiti rally racer Meshari Al-Thafeeri came first in the overall ranking of the T3 category in the fourth round of the Baja Aragon rally, which concluded on Saturday in Spain. In a phone call with KUNA Sunday, Thafeeri said despite his sixth place in the fourth round, which started on July 20 and lasted for two days, he was able to grab the lead in the T3 category in the championship, collecting 77 points.
Through his participation in this race and by achieving sixth place, he gained 15 points, which placed him first, with four rounds remaining for the championship in Poland, Portugal, Dubai and Jordan, he explained. The 874-km rally saw participation of 92 competitors in various categories, representing 26 countries. – KUNA
