KUWAIT: Kuwait University organized a trip to the Hectare’s factory for female dormitory students on Wednesday (24/4/2024) which aimed at introducing students to the various Kuwaiti industries under the slogan "Made in Kuwait”.
In this regard, the monitoring of the department of Student Housing Mai Al-Osaimi stated that the activities department is keen to organize such trips, aiming to introduce students to national products, which enjoy a great reputation due to their high quality.
"The quality was reflected in the great demand for them, in addition to informing students that the industry in Kuwait is not limited to oil production, but there are food industries such as meat, dairy, pastries, grains, sweets, fishing and canning fish, shrimp, mineral water, juices and drinks,” the university announced.
Kuwait University is keen to establish such trips with the aim of promoting local industries, facilitating access to products and services, activating their role in industrial development in order to achieve the objectives of local produce.
Moreover, they are keen on improving the government procurement process, considering that high demand raises the level of productivity and the rate of economic growth, due to its ability to diversify and innovate in industries, as well as use modern technological techniques.
