Kuwait: First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah stressed the need of constant vigilance against attempts of drug traffickers to smuggle narcotics into Kuwait through the territorial waters.

During his visit to Sabah Al Ahmad Coast Guard Base on Thursday, Sheikh Talal praised the efforts of the border guards to employ the latest technologies to protect the safety of the country.

He affirmed keenness on following up the operating system of the Ministry of Interior to ensure provision of all resources and equipment needed to fulfil the set objectives, according to a statement from the Interior Ministry's General Directorate of Security Relations and Media Sheikh Talal inspected the constructions at the coast guard base and commissioned eight quick intervention vessels and 11 interception patrols.
