KUALA LUMPUR: Kuwaiti karateka Mohammad Hussein won the silver medal in the Asian Karate Federation (AFK) Senior Championships, held in Malaysia. According to AFK on Saturday, Hussein competed against a Japanese karateka on Friday in the solo Kata category, adding that the Japanese opponent won the gold medal by a 3.42 to 2.42. Melaka city is hosting the 19th edition of the tournament from 21 to 23 July, with the participation of 400 athletes from 31 countries. — KUNA
