Kuwait: Abdulrahman Al-Asfour was chosen as Secretary General of the Arab Towns Organization (ATO) during an urgent irregular meeting for the organization in Kuwait on Sunday.
Director General of Kuwait Municipality Ahmad Al-Manfouhi congratulated Al-Asfour during the meeting, wishing him the best of luck in his new post.
Al-Asfour, on his part, said that the ATO -- established in Kuwait in 1967 -- was an integral entity focusing on bolstering cooperation amongst Arab cities.
He vowed to do his best during his tenure as Secretary General of the ATO.
The ATO is a non-profit organization, which is keen on preserving the identity and culture of Arab cities in addition to finding means to continue the development of the Arab world in all aspects.
