KUWAIT: Renowned Kuwaiti jet skier Mohammad Burabie has been honored by the country's Olympic committee for cracking a Guinness world record for the second time in his career, picking up 22 medals at a world championship event. The Kuwaiti athlete was handed his Guinness certificate by the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee's president Sheikh Fahad Al-Sabah, who congratulated him on the "proud accomplishment." Burabie is an ambitious young man, whose success came with plenty of hard work and dedication, said the director general of Kuwait's Public Authority for Youth Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.
Commenting on his accolade, the Kuwaiti jet skier said he would not rest on his laurels, promising to continue stockpiling accomplishments of such magnitude. With a career spanning over a decade, Burabie is one of the world's most prolific jet skiers, having won a plethora of gold medals over the years. - KUNA
