ROMA: Kuwaiti shooter Eman Al-Shamma won the gold medal of the Skeet women championship in His Highness the Amir of Kuwait's International Shooting Cup, held in Italy. President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Eng Duaij Al-Otaibi told KUNA yesterday that Al-Shammaa won the first place in the Skeet competition in the fourth day of the championship, while the shooter Ahmad Al-Afasi managed to achieve third place in the double trap in the competition.
He expressed his pride in the excellent results in the competition of more than 400 shooters from 16 countries. He pointed out the world champion talented Abdul-Rahman Al-Faihan's win of the first place in the Olympic trap game, which strengthens Kuwait's global position in the sport of shooting. He congratulated Kuwait on these outstanding achievements and expressed gratitude of the Kuwaiti delegation and the team to Kuwait's Public Authority for Sports ant its Director-General Dr Humoud Al-Flaiteh for their continued support.
President of the Italian shooting federation Senator Luciano Rossi and Kuwait Charge d'Affairs Sami Al-Zamanan handed over the medals and trophies to the winners. - KUNA
