Kuwait: State of Kuwait Thursday welcomed an agreement between Qatar and Bahrain to reopen their embassies in Doha and Manama after a meeting of their joint follow-up committee, held at the GCC Secretariat in Riyadh last night, the foreign ministry said.
The agreement reflects fraternal relations between Qatar and Bahrain as well as a contributing to unity among the Gulf Cooperation Council member countries, it added in a statement.
The Qatar-Bahrain follow-up committee announced restoration of diplomatic relations to boost GCC integration and unity.
The GCC consists of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.
