KUWAIT: Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates affirmed the depth of the historical and brotherly relations that unite the two countries and the continuous development and growth they are witnessing. This is reflected in joint efforts and continuous work in an effort to achieve a comprehensive renaissance and open prospects for cooperation, consultation, and mutual coordination.

This was stated in a press release issued by the Kuwait Ministry of Defense received by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the occasion of the reception by the vice president and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid, for the deputy prime minister and Minister of Defense of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Fahd Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, in Dubai.

During the meeting, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahd conveyed the greetings of the Amir HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Crown Prince HH Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid and wished him good health. He wished the United Arab Emirates and its noble people continued progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahd expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid for the warm reception and hospitality. The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, the Supreme Chairman of Emirates Airline, and a number of Sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahd arrived with his accompanying delegation to Dubai on an official visit on Wednesday, where he was received upon arrival by the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid.

He was also received by the ambassador of Kuwait to the UAE, Jamal Al-Ghunaim, and the ambassador of the UAE to Kuwait, Dr. Matar Al-Neyadi, in addition to the consul general of Kuwait to the UAE in Dubai, the Emirates ambassador Ali Al-Thaidi, the head of the Kuwaiti military office, Major General Mohammed Al-Kandari, and members of the diplomatic mission.-KUNA
