KUWAIT: Kuwait registered 1,330 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number to 220,455, while seven deaths were recorded, putting the total at 1,233, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday. Ministry spokesperson Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad said that the number of people receiving treatment in intensive care reached 246 cases as of yesterday, up from 232 the day before, while there were 14,244 cases receiving necessary treatment, down from 14,360 a day earlier.
Dr Sanad added that the number of swabs that were performed in the same period reached 9,079, raising the total to 1,976,289 tests. He renewed the call to the public to continue adopting all preventive measures, to avoid contact with others, and to ensure the implementation of the social distancing, and to visit the official accounts of the Ministry of Health and official authorities. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health announced earlier that 1,439 cases had recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 204,978. - KUNA
