KUWAIT: Palestinian Ambassador to Kuwait Rami Tahboub said Education Minister Bader Al-Essa will visit Ramallah in November to sign an agreement to recruit 400 Palestinian teachers in various specialties. Speaking during a dinner banquet held to the honor PalSat Chairman Ahmed Assaf and his accompanying delegation, Tahboub said that the agreement was ready and only needs to be signed, but the visit was postponed because of Essa's tight schedule.
Labor shelter
Acting Director of the Public Authority for Manpower Abdullah Al-Motoutah received the Ambassador of the Philippines to Kuwait Renato Pedro Villa, who discussed labor-related cooperation between both countries. Villa expressed appreciation for hosting 160 Filipinos at the expatriate labor shelter and hailed the services they received. Both sides also discussed the problems of Filipino laborers at the embassy shelter and the possibility of transferring them to the authority's shelter.
Retirement
Health Minister Dr Ali Al-Obaidi yesterday referred more officials to retirement, including the ministry's public relations and media manager Faisal Al-Doussary, the undersecretary's office manager Dr Adel Al-Ali and four nursing staff members.
Infrastructure
Ministry of Public Work's undersecretary Awatef Suleiman Al-Ghunaim yesterday signed three infrastructure agreements for Garnada, Sabah Al-Nasser and Andalus, in addition to laying the main sewage line between Surra and Riggae at a total cost of KD 5,862,845.
Assessment
The 'Kuwait Needs' campaign's monthly reports for August and September showed the assessment of seven government bodies - the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MSAL), Public Authority for Manpower, Ministry of Commerce (MoC), Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR), Kuwait Municipality, Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) - were excellent in terms of these bodies' response to citizens' complaints. The report also showed that the finance and awqaf ministries were assessed as 'good', while the interior, health and public works ministries in addition to the Environment Public Authority (EPA) showed little response to complaints. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) lacked any response to public complaints. Commenting on the report, Minister Hind Al-Subaih said that it confirms the spirit of teamwork prevailing at MSAL that helps achieve success in providing better services to the public.
