KUWAIT: Kuwait and Qatar have linked the traffic system between both countries to register traffic violations and collect fines electronically, the Interior Ministry announced. This comes following a similar step with the UAE in February 2023 and in line with efforts to achieve security and traffic integration between Kuwait and GCC states, the ministry said in a statement late Tuesday.

“A delegation from Kuwait’s traffic violations’ integration team went on a business trip to Qatar on Tuesday during which the integration system was launched,” the Interior Ministry said in the statement. Head of the Technical Division at the Interior Ministry’s Traffic General Department Brigadier General Khaled Al-Adwani said that the system allows collecting traffic fines in both countries starting from violations committed on May 30, 2023 and onwards. – KUNA
