KUWAIT: Prime Minister retired General Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah received Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah on Thursday at Seif Palace, where he introduced to him new chiefs of diplomatic and consular missions abroad. During the reception, the Prime Minister quoted His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as having congratulated them on being chosen as Kuwait's representatives abroad, wishing them best of luck.
He addressed the diplomats by considering their selection as a "continuation of the long history of Kuwait's unique diplomacy," which, based on the political leadership's directives, has earned Kuwait regional and international prestige that reflected the international community's trust in and respect for Kuwait. He urged them to do their best to help Kuwaiti citizens in the countries to which they are accredited by means of opening official communication channels that could meet their needs and remove any possible obstacles during their travel. He underlined the significance of maintaining international credibility gained by the State of Kuwait for its political line over years, together with the integrity and prestigious status of the Foreign Ministry.
Meanwhile, the foreign minister said the new ambassadors on Wednesday took the constitutional oath before His Highness the Crown Prince and listened to His Highness the Amir's directives conveyed by His Highness the Crown Prince, in addition to the Prime Minister's instructions that reflected the political leadership's interest in serving and helping citizens abroad. Chief of the Prime Minister's Diwan Abdulaziz Al-Dakheel, Advisor at the Prime Minister's Diwan Sheikh Dr Basel Humoud Al-Sabah and Assistant Foreign Minister for Protocols Ambassador Dhari Al-Ajran attended the meeting. - KUNA
