Following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990, during which the occupation forces robbed the Central Bank, the Kuwaiti legitimate authorities cancelled the stolen banknotes, and later on, the fourth copy of the dinar was printed. The fifth edition was on April 4, 1994. The sixth was on May 19 of year 2014, before becoming officially in circulation on June 29 of the same year. —Kuna
