KUWAIT: GEHealthcare and its partner, Advanced Technology Company (ATC), marked animportant milestone in the provision of advanced diagnostic services in Kuwaitwith the launch of the region's first Artificial Intelligence cloud-based MRIpost-processing solution at Images Diagnostic Center.

Images DiagnosticCenter recently became the first official GE Magnetic Resonance Imaging showsite in the Middle East. With the introduction of GE Healthcare's advancedViosWorks, powered by Arterys, Images Diagnostic Center highlights the superiorbreadth of its diagnostic services that are now available for patients andhealthcare practitioners.

According to theWorld Health Organization, non-communicable diseases are estimated to accountfor 72% of all deaths in Kuwait. Nearly 41% of the total NCD deaths can beattributed to cardiovascular diseases. Cardiac MRI is a non-invasive medical test that allows physicians to seeif the heart has been damaged from a heart attack, or if there is a lack ofblood flow to the heart muscle because of narrowed or blocked arteries.

The new ViosWorksextends cardiac MR assessment beyond the anatomy by providing a comprehensivecardiovascular solution in a fraction of the time of conventional cardiacscans. Providing 3D cardiac anatomy, function, and flow in 1-free breathing, the 8-minute scan with cloud-based, real-time processing of images inresolutions that were previously unattainable alters cardiac imaging dramaticallywith excellent diagnostic results. It is a simplified solution for patients, technologists and clinicians.

Images DiagnosticCenter has always strived to be the first to offer state-of-the-art diagnosticservices to patients in Kuwait. It started with the introduction of the GEOptima 450 32 channel system, a wide-bore platform enabled with noise reductiontechnology that improves patient experience and accessibility. Today, theCenter owns four GE MR systems with the latest platforms in 1.5T and 3.0T:SIGNA Architect, SIGNA Pioneer, SIGNA Artist, and SIGNA Voyager.
