KUWAIT: Kuwaithas witnessed the fastest growth in food consumption rates amongst other GCCstates with a rate of 5.5 percent, a food industry specialist said, adding thatthis rate is expected to growth even more in view of the growing GDP and theexpected growth over the next four years as well as prediction of economicgrowth until 2022 by 3 percent.
CEO Food ChoiceCompany Marwan Fares made those remarks in a statement to the press in which heannounced that his company will participate in the 2019 Horeca exhibition as agolden sponsor. Fares strongly praised the Horeca Kuwait exhibition and itsability to attract companies specializing in hospitality, catering and hotelrequirements, in addition to travel, transport, oil and construction. "Theexhibition will display the latest in food products and food services accordingto hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) food safetystandards," he underlined.
Further, Faresstressed that following the success it has been achieving ever sinceestablishment in 2005, Food Choice plans further growth and internationalexpansion using various unique and creative ideas, while at the same time beingvery keen on supporting new creations and observing healthy quality standardsin catering and retail services needed for hotels, restaurants and departmentstores. Meanwhile LeadersGroup reminded of the success achieved in Horeca 2018 in terms of the growth inthe number of visitors. It also hailed the outstanding participation of FoodChoice during the past cycles, noting that its section had always attractedlarge numbers of visitors. The 2019 Horeca exhibition is due to be organized byLeaders Group in collaboration with Hospitality Services Company at KuwaitInternational Fairgrounds in Mishref in the period of January 14-16, 2019.
