KUWAIT: Kuwait on Tuesday won four seats on the Standing Committees of the West Asian Diving Federation, which is based in Kuwait, after the board of directors meeting via video communication (zoom). The results of the formation of the permanent committees of the union resulted in the recommendation of representatives of Kuwait, namely Salam Al-Rajib for membership (international relations), Hani bin Hussein for (technical committee), Hind Al-Nahed for (gender equality) and Hessa Al-Khaled for (Environment).

In a press statement, the president of the Federation, Engineer Talal Al-Sarhan, congratulated all the members who were selected to represent the Standing Committees. Al-Sarhan stressed that the technical levels and expertise enjoyed by all members of the committees will contribute to the development of the performance of the union significantly.

For his part, a committee member said international relations Salam Al-Rajib said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this recommendation came only based on the confidence of the board members in the ability of Kuwait's youth to develop the federation.

Rajib added that the "outstanding performance" in organizing the World Diving Championship, which was held in Kuwait last May, attracted the attention of many interested in this sport, especially officials at the International and regional levels. He stressed that Kuwait has many cadres capable of making a difference in regional and international organizations, pointing to the ability of current members to raise the level of local and international sports. – KUNA
