Kuwait fund, USAID sign MoU

WASHINGTON: Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and Acting Information Minister Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah on Tuesday signed a MoU with the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The signing of the MoU came on the sidelines of the official visit to Washington by the foreign minister, who doubles as Chairman of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).

The memo is meant to promote bilateral technical cooperation and joint action in the field of financing economic and social development in developing countries and bilateral coordination for response to humanitarian crises and natural disasters, and to share technical and information experience.

Kuwaiti Ambassador to the US Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for Americas’ Affairs Minister Plenipotentiary Hamad Al-Mashaan and Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for the Foreign Minister’s Office Ahmad Al-Shuraim were in attendance. – KUNA
