NEW YORK: Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah met with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Executive Director, Catherine Russell. The meeting was held in New York on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly. During the meeting, Kuwait's top diplomat lauded the UNICEF's noble role for over 70 years, in protecting children worldwide and helping children and their families who have had to face trauma from wars, poverty or exploitation.  Meanwhile, Russell expressed great appreciation of Kuwait's efforts and initiatives to promote and protect children's rights regionally and internationally, considering it an ethical responsibility and a necessity for human progress. - KUNA
