KUWAIT: Kuwait fire Force (KFF) announced Wednesday that six teams were able to put off a fire that broke out in a cement and manufacturing paint factory in Shuaiba Industrial area. A report was received at the Central Operations Department midday stating that a fire broke out in a factory which contains flammable chemicals, The Public Relations and Media Department said in a statement.
The fire extended to a nearby factory but was quickly contained and seized in one location preventing it from spreading after six firefighting teams reached the location in a record time.
The operation was monitored by head of the General Fire Force, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Mekrad and deputy head of the force for the control sector, Major General Jamal Nasser, the statement added. The KFF called upon factory owners and tenants in industrial areas to abide by safety rules and regulations to avoid any such future incidents. - KUNA
