Kuwait: Kuwait is determined to build a resilient healthcare system that is able to keep at bay any potential health perils caused by climate change, an official said on Tuesday, citing public health as a chief priority.
A sustainable and resilient healthcare system is needed to stave off the impacts climate change can have on public health, Kuwaiti health ministry undersecretary Dr. Buthaina Al-Mudhaf told World Health Organization (WHO) talks on health and climate change in Geneva.
The Kuwaiti official acknowledged WHO's "commitment" to the matter, underlining the urgency and significance of the talks in Geneva, organized by the UN body's legislative arm.
