AMMAN: Several Kuwait entrepreneurs participating in the Arab entrepreneurship summit on Sunday affirmed its significance in helping Arab youths present their projects and providing opportunities for them to attract investments for their projects that aim to encourage Arab exports. This came in separate statements to KUNA after the opening of the summit co-organized by Jordan's institution for economic projects development and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia.

The Kuwaiti entrepreneurs agreed that the summit is a chance to promote partnerships for their small and medium-sized projects and find more investment opportunities in regional and Arab countries. Fatma Al-Saeed told KUNA that her participation in the event is an appropriate opportunity for new strategic goals to develop her project and benefit from successful experiments. She lauded the organizers' role that contributed to backing small and medium sized projects' owners.

Isa Dashti said participation in the summit aims at communicating with the concerned bodies outside Kuwait, adding that presenting business and projects at the summit is a benefit to build bridges of communication and cooperation with the other companies. He said that the summit is a chance to show projects mainly all Arab countries are partaking in the event. Noora Al-Askar, founder of "Nutribox" on healthy food, told KUNA in a similar statement that the UN selected her foundation out of the 100 nascent companies to partake in the project.

She noted that her firm is achieving three of the UN goals on educational programs, and enabling adolescents and educating them how to combat obesity. Ahmad Marafie, cofounder of CODED which is the Middle East's First Coding Bootcamp, said such conferences are important for youths' projects to get briefed on the latest developments at labor markets. The summit is the first of its kind that aims at gathering all private and public sector bodies of all Arab countries to back small and medium-sized projects to reach international and regional markets.
